Kapan kita harus
menambahkan –s/es pada verb 1? Jawabannya adalah ketika suatu kalimat
menunjukkan Present Tense (saat ini) dan didahului oleh subyek she, he, it.
Saya membuat contohnya
seperti ini:
1. He kickes a ball.
(Dia menendang bola)
Kickes: adalah verb 1
ditambah –es karena didahului subyek He, artinya menendang.
2. She cooks in the
kitchen.
(Dia memasak di dapur)
Cooks: adalah verb 1
ditambah –s karena didahului subyek she, artinya memasak.
3. It meows loudly.
(Kucing itu mengeong
dengan nyaring)
Moews adalah verb 1
ditambah –es karena didahului subyek it (misal: kucing), artinya mengeong.
Jadi, apabila subyeknya
“they, we, I, you”, maka verb 1 tidak boleh ditambah –s/es. Penamabah –s/es ini
juga terjadi pada kalimat posiftif, tapi tidak perlu terjadi pada kalimat
negatif dan tanya.
