Hello Katabah!
To make sentences using Past Tense in Indonesian language, we
have this pattern:
Subject + telah/sudah + verb + object
Examples:
PRESENT TENSE:
Saya makan nasi tiap hari.
(I eat rice everyday)
Makan: eat (verb)
PAST TENSE:
Saya telah makan nasi two hours ago.
(I ate rice dua jam yang lalu)
Therefore, verb of Indonesian langauge will not be changed
either Present Tense or Past Tense. We will be enough to add word “telah” or
“sudah”.
Next examples:
PRESENT TENSE:
Dia (male) membawa buku.
(He brings a book)
Membawa: bring (verb)
PAST TENSE:
Dia telah membawa buku, kemarin.
(He brought a book yesterda)
So, word “membawa” in Present Tense is same to word “membawa”
in Past Tensei. It’s most simple, isn’t it?
